He said that the content roadmap for this year is "slightly less ambitious than in years prior" due to the fact that Madden 22 coins the team is focused on a handful of key areas instead of trying to release games on the same scale as Superstar KO, a well-received arcade mode that was introduced during Madden 20.
"I think the roadmap is] likely to be a little less ambitious than previous years since we're focusing on a handful of core aspects that are the core of Madden 22 and also getting underway on Madden 23 in a big manner," Graddy said at the time. "So I'm going to stick with what we've been saying for in the past couple of years that we're a live service, and we'll continue to improve the game, but we're not likely to talk about a completely new mode."
The report was a source of attention due to the fact that franchise mode is a source of contention for certain Madden players. In fact, the roadmap was originally a response to the campaign #fixmaddenfranchise that was circulating on Twitter in the middle of 2020. It was triggered by reports that EA did not plan improvements to franchise mode in the year prior.
Since the time, EA has released new commissioner tools as well as other enhancements which include a complete overhaul of its scouting system. Madden 22 also introduced an enhanced scenario engine, season-long cutscenes and coaching skill trees. However, players continue to highlight various areas where franchise mode could be improved in comparison to other games cheap madden coins, from the lack of customization to the numerous bugs.
